Acting President, Sister Joyce Serratore, S.C. was Vice President, Office of Material Resources, of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill. Sister Joyce has a multitude of professional experiences to her credit which include Principal of Sacred Heart High School, Secretary of the Congregation, Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, and Founding Member, Board of Directors, P.O.W.E.R. (Pennsylvania Organization for Women in Early Recovery).
Mary Challburg is “The Helping Hands” Chairperson for The Alliance Against Drugs. She brings to SOS her personal experience along with her passion to promote awareness, education, and support to families dealing with a loved one’s addiction.

Eileen Dombrowski is the Branch Manager of the Collier Township National City Bank. She is heavily involved in the local community and serves on the board of the Carnegie-Collier Rotary. Eileen utilizes her many contacts and capitalizes on her experiences and knowledge of experts, to connect her customers with the right information, resources and people needed to accomplish their goals.
Jo Ann Hall is the Vice President of North Star Communications, Inc., a total turnkey communications company located in Cecil, PA. North Star has been in business for over twenty years proudly serving the tri-state area. Jo Ann has been with the company since its inception and is dedicated to providing quality service and support to her over 4,000 customers.
Keenan D. Holmes, Esq, is an employment litigator at the national law firm Eckert, Seamans, Cherin & Mellott, LLC. He counsels clients on ways to resolve workplace issues and defends clients in mediations, administrative proceedings, state and federal courts. He currently serves on the Arsenal Family and Children’s Center Board, Young Executive Board at the Rivers Club and also on the Pro Bono Committee at his firm.
Joanne Kramer is a Provider Relations Field Representative for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. She has worked for Highmark for 18 years in several areas. Today she works with mental health and substance abuse providers. She brings to SOS her personal experience with the addiction of her own family members. She is very passionate about working toward addiction prevention.
David H. Kropp, Esq., has worked for over 31 years in tax, corporate law and financial planning with public accounting and law firms. He has served on the boards of Chartiers Center MH/MR, Wesley Institute and Sisters’ Place. He has been the Treasurer of the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department and Relief Association since 1995.
Cynthia Cheran Lubinski was instrumental in branding the locally-owned entrepreneurial staffing firm Alzed-Olsten Staffing Services growing revenues from $11 million to $20 million in seven years. She now holds the position of Executive Recruiter with Basilone-Oliver specializing in Accounting and Financial placement.
Elizabeth W. Massella, M.D., is a general pediatrician with special interests in adolescent medicine and addiction. Dr. Massella has been teaching medical students for the past fifteen years. She has served as preceptor and physician volunteer for the Program for Health Care to Underserved Populations of the University of Pittsburgh and also as board member and board chair for the Physician’s Health Programs of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Alice Poziviak has over 35 years of experience working in the medical records/medical information field. She is currently the President of the Board for Steps Inside, Inc., a recovery club in Waynesburg, PA. Alice has over ten years of personal experience with recovery programs and working with alcoholics and addicts.
Sunlight of the Spirit Honorary Board Members
Robert J. Ackerman, Ph.D. is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Mid-Atlantic Addiction Training Institute (MAATI) at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and a cofounder of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA). Dr. Ackerman is internationally known for his work with families and children of all ages, served on many advisory boards and worked with numerous government agencies and task forces.
Abraham J. Twerski, M.D. is the Founder and Medical Director Emeritus of Gateway Rehabilitation Center, a not-for-profit drug and alcohol treatment system in Western Pennsylvania. Dr. Twerski, an ordained rabbi, held a pulpit until 1959 when he graduated from Marquette University Medical School and went on to complete his psychiatric residency at the University of Pittsburgh Western Psychiatric Institute. For 20 years, he served as Clinical Director of the Department of Psychiatry at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Twerski is recognized as an international authority in the chemical dependence field and in 1997 he received the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s greatest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, for his work in this field.
