Addiction is a family disease.  It impacts each and every person in the family.  SOS can help you to better understand the disease, see how your life has been effected, and teach you the coping skills you need to begin your own recovery.

  2. Why not just go to Al-Anon, Nar-Anon, or Gam-Anon?
Al-Anon, Nar-Anon, and Gam-Anon are mutual support groups based on the 12-Steps and have been helping families cope with a loved one’s addiction for many years.   Sometimes families need more help than what these self-help groups can provide. The Sunlight of the Spirit is a professionally-led program that offers education, support and respite for the entire family.  We believe in the benefits of self-help programs and incorporate their concepts into all of our services.
